Built by John Watts Kearney and designed by noted local architect Eugene Bradbury, Lewis Mountain situated on a visible and spectacular knoll overlooking the University of Virginia. The house is visible from the University of Virginia grounds and provides a 360 degree view overlooking the University, City of Charlottesville and the Blue Ridge Mountains as far as the eye can see. The stone manor sits on over 42 acres of land originally designed by landscape architect Warren Manning, surrounded by dry laid stone retaining walls.
